SUSTAINABILITY

We are here to provide a solution to an ever-increasing single-use plastic problem. In the pursuit of clean and tasty water, millions of filter cartridges go to landfill each year. Traditional water filter cartridges are used once and thrown away - and because they contain a mix of plastic and loose filtration media, they cannot be recycled with other household items.

In 2019 we decided to put an end to that by creating the first refillable water filter cartridge. Instead of replacing the entire cartridge every month, Phox customers simply swap out the filter granules and reuse the same cartridge again and again. One Phox cartridge replaces dozens of single-use alternatives over its lifetime, keeping kilograms of plastic out of landfill.

Since launching our refillable cartridge, we have saved millions of plastic cartridges from landfill.
We are so happy that our customers have contributed this amazing achievement but we know there is still a long way to go.

WHERE IS PHOX MADE?

We are committed to producing our products locally. The design, manufacturing, packaging, and distribution of our filters is done within a 50-mile radius of our office in Glasgow. By keeping our supply chain short and local, we reduce transportation emissions and support British manufacturing.

Traditional water filter cartridges are bulky. They don't fit through the letterbox, which leads to missed deliveries and second delivery attempts - increasing carbon emissions. Our refill packs are compact and lightweight, designed specifically to fit through a standard UK letterbox first time, every time. We ship with Royal Mail because they're the only UK carrier with a daily route to every street in the country. Your delivery doesn't add a vehicle to the road - it simply joins a journey that's already happening.
